 Southside Social and Barn Dance 2012!

It's that time of year again and we're just beginning to gear up for the big event.  The Southside Social and Barn Dance will take place on July 13th and 14th, 2012.  This is our 10th annual gathering of performers, families, and friends!  We're very excited to celebrate 10 years of successful festivities and look forward to seeing ya'll.  Gates open at 3pm and we encourage everyone to arrive on Friday and camp through the weekend.  Please do carpool as onsite parking is very limited.

After 10 years of amazing bands, performers, bonfire, theatrical entertainment, beverages, espresso stand, vendors, refreshments, potluck, camping, and more, the Southside Social and Barn Dance is STILL offered free of charge. We need your help to keep this event going by purchasing a t-shirt, making a donation, attending a work party, etc. So please plan to buy some shirts, coffee, or make a donation based on what you can afford to contribute. Thanks!

Yes!: Carpooling, camping, families, volunteers, community, fun.
No!: DOGS! campfires, underage drinking, or jerks.

Please be a good guest and leave the pooch at home for this event. Because of past issues and too many people ignoring our request, we’re going to have to turn people with dogs away this year. Also, this is old news.. but as we prefer not to have cops attend our little soiree, we request that minors refrain from imbibing. Please be respectful.

One thing that we've always loved about the Social is the diverse group of folks in attendance.  We've noticed fewer families and kids in the past few years and we're hoping to reverse this trend. Please help us include everyone by creating a family friendly environment during the day--we'll do it up proper when the kiddos are asleep!

Just a few more tidbits....we're excited to bring back vendors for your Southside shopping pleasure!  We continue to expand our baked goods/burrito/pizza sale--don't worry if you're too busy having fun to make supper! We plan to have quick options for breakfast/lunch/dinner, the proceeds of which will fund the event.  Finney Farm will also be hosting Jason Quick of the Bellingham Circus Guild  for a week long Children's Circus Day Camp as well as evening adult workshops immediately following the Social from July 16th-20th.  Please contact us for more information
